Beyoncé's new album 4 is now certified platinum after selling one million units in the US.
Her official website released the following statement:
"4 has been certified Platinum by the RIAA. Thank you to all the fans that purchased the album. We hope you're enjoying it as much as we are."

Shea revealed that he's been working with Bey on her new album the last several months and had nothing but good things to say about it. For one, he compared her stuff to Michael Jackson's music in his "prime." Apparently, Beyonce stays close to her pop roots, but there's more of a R&B feel to the record too. Last but not least, she supposedly has a track with Kanye West on the album that is, quote, "Amazing!"
All sounds good to us! Someone from Camp Bey want to confirm for us that the single dropping in April, though? We don't want to get our hopes up!

The album was inspired by several musicians, including Fela Kuti, The Stylistics, Lauryn Hill, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson.It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, with first-week sales of 310,000 copies.
